Unless you have been living on Themyscira for the past couple of years, you have surely become acquainted with one of the comic book movie genre’s biggest new stars, Deadpool. Actor Ryan Reynolds not only found his signature role as Wade Wilson, but also an outlet for a zany brand of unconventional marketing that has helped to define the character and franchise as a whole.
We are six months out from the release of the sequel to Deadpool and the marketing campaign has kicked in once again. Last month we got the first poster and teaser that featured a Bob Ross spoof that still has the industry giggling. It seems that we are still a ways off from getting a traditional trailer (if we are getting one at all), however it seems that we will be spending a lot of quality time with Deadpool before the sequel’s release regardless.
The second satirical teaser to be released by Fox is targeting Brazil’s Comic Con which is happening later this month. In the clip, Deadpool explains that they will be offering real Deadpool themed tattoos at the convention, including the following designs:
Unfortunately, the teaser is light on footage from the upcoming movie, however it seems that they are building up to a big reveal trailer. Particularly because the new additions like Domino (Zazie Beats) and Cable (Josh Brolin) have barely been glimpsed in live-action up until this point. If you are attending Brazil Comic Con and know anyone with a Deadpool tattoo, let us know and we can highlight them on our Instagram! For now, enjoy the clip:
After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.
The Untitled Deadpool Sequel will be in theaters on June 1st, 2018.
